I can almost taste the salad now

Baby Cabbage

Shallots

Purple Kale

Swiss Chard "Bright Lights"

Arugula (I put some of the leaves on a pizza a few days ago!!)

Cilantro

French Breakfast Radishes

My plants are doing great!  I'm looking forward to some nice, fresh, organic salads very very soon!  Eating a salad that is the fruit of one's own labor is infinitely more rewarding than buying it at the store.

I've also been trying to figure out what has stunted the growth of my Brussels Sprouts.  I am not sure... but I have discovered that Sprouts really need to be fertilized, especially preferring nitrogen, and that they need to have alkaline soil.  I'm not going to buy a soil tester (though someday when I have a little more expendable income that will be a priority for my garden), but it couldn't hurt to try to alkalize the soil in that pot just a bit.  And it couldn't hurt to give it some nitrogen-rich fertilizer.
I'm not going to buy anything, so I need to figure out what food scraps, etc., I can mix into this soil to achieve the desired effects.  Or perhaps make some kind of tea to spray on the leaves.  I've been reading this page and pondering what of this information is practical for my situation.
