A few nights ago I decided that my Swiss Chard looked a little crowded in its pot, and that I was hungry for some fresh home-grown produce. So next to our tilapia and potatoes we had steamed baby Swiss Chard "Bright Lights. It was so pretty with its bright-colored stems-- fuschia, red, yellow, ivory, lime-- setting off the deep green leaves. How fun.
The picture above is the baby chard, freshly-picked and ready to be washed. Below is the steamed chard on my plate. It was tender and tasty--much like spinach. I enjoyed it very much.
